Where are you from?

I’m the true definition of a Georgia Peach. Raised in a very small town in the dirty south of Georgia, Berlin. Population: 566. A short 15 minute country ride will get you to Moultrie, Georgia which is the home of the Football State Champs, The Colquitt County Packers. That would be where I attended High School and the only thing popping after 9pm was Walmart & Waffle House.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Where did you attend college?

I attended Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. 40 minutes away from my home town, bordering the state of Florida and truly one of the most beautiful campuses I have seen. I have a strong love for Spanish Style buildings and palm trees! I graduated from VSU in May of 2015 with a BS in Psychology.

What did you major in?

I began my college career with a major “Undecided”. I knew I was interested in something medical but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. It didn’t take but one semester for me to declare a major in Pre-Nursing. I would spend the duration of my Freshman and Sophomore years taken courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry and Microbiology before figuring out that I wasn’t ready for Nursing school just yet. My GPA suffered greatly after Spring 2012 semester. I changed my major to Psychology and I fell in love with the subject.

 

How did you manage to work part-time and go to school?

It was very challenging and it is not recommended by me. However, it's what I had to do to survive. I worked part time, sometimes managing two jobs at once throughout my 5 years at VSU. I had a car payment, rent, phone bill and of course I had to eat! I have $40,000 in student loan debt (Yes, true story!) but that still didn’t cover all my expenses. It is possible to get through college while having to work. My biggest suggestion if you have to endure this path is to try to find a job that understands that you are a student first.

 

How did you and ♡ BJCarter meet?

We are high school sweethearts! We met through one of our mutual friends of the time during my Freshman and his Junior year. Right away, I knew he would be the Game Changer! He is adorably handsome, a true gentleman, rolling on the floor funny, cleverly charming, hard working, just an amazingly spectacular man! I remember just being so mesmerized by him so early on… he was just so sweet and considerate! He was the only high schooler I knew that maintained a job, played football #35  and still managed to make good grades! It took no time for him to have me wrapped around his finger, lol and I’ve been wrapped ever since.

Which Branch of the Military are you in?

I am in the Georgia Army National Guard.
